Once elected, I will remain Green, supporting and advancing legislation to: one: lessen the most catastrophic effects of global warming, promote a healthy environment, see a transition to a relocalized, green-collar, steady-state economy, promote sustainable living, full funding of 32 District-wide ground water cleanup projects, watershed restoration, implementation of Greenways per Los Angeles 1968 Citywide Plan, Los Angeles River rewilding and ceasing neighborhood gentrification, two: guarantee quality universal single payer healthcare for all, three: ban all corporatist lobbying and campaign spending with implementation of public financing of elections and four: ensure Human Dignity and fair Immigration rights by immediately ending immigration raids and deportations. A new study published in the American Meteorological Society’s Journal of Climate warns that global climate change may actually be twice as detrimental as previously predicted, with temperatures climbing as high as nine degrees by 2100, leading to mass migrations, wars and "hundreds of millions" dead. The 39th district (pdf map or this map) encompasses the City of San Fernando and nine Neighborhood Councils of the San Fernando Valley within the City of Los Angeles, and distinctive communities including Arleta, North Hills East, Mission Hills, Panorama City, Sylmar, Pacoima, Sun Valley, portions of Mid-town and Northeast North Hollywood, Valley Glen, Van Nuys. My election to the Assembly will empower all constituents of the 39th District with direct stakeholding and representation in Sacramento, replacing the oppressive and burdensome private moneyed interests who, at present, hold sway over the California State Legislature's agenda.
